Bulbul thara is not new to me since my age of 3. But now it looks strange to me. A passion to research about it. I remember the day that my grandfather played this musical instrument during one christmas season for songs. It sounds good when i again say it in working condition, but with lot of faults.

And i don't know about this instrument in detail. The reason i posted this is to get
feed back from anyone who knew it.


But i can describe the instrument upto my knowledge. It is a rectangular wooden hollow clock,
tied with 5 strings horizontally. One more horizontal wooden block is mounted on the string with keys attachment. Keys are arranged in such a way that when it is pressed it touches the string accordingly.
It should be striked in right hand on its string &keys are played in left hand like piano.

                          When i googled about this i could't find anything about its history and all. But A.r rahaman
used this instrument in kuchi-kuchi rakkamma song from the movie bombay.
If anyone knows about this , please tell me where it originated and whatever
you know about it.

இன்று இசை அனைவருக்கும் சென்றடைகிறது. முந்தய காலம் போல் இசை என்பது மேல்தட்டு மக்களுக்கு மட்டுமே சொந்தம் என்று கூறமுடியாது. இசை பரிணாம வளர்ச்சியை அடைந்துள்ளது.

சோனியின் வாக்மேன் இதில் முக்கிய பங்கை வகுத்துள்ளது என்று சொன்னால் மிகையாகாது. இசையை கையடக்க கருவியில் கொண்டு வந்துள்ளது.இன்று அனைவரின் மூன்றாம் கையாக மாறிவிட்ட அலைபேசியையும் அது விட்டுவைக்கவில்லை. சோனி தன் தாயாரிக்கும் அலைபேசியில் வாக்மேன் தொழில்நுட்பம் கொண்ட அலைபேசிகளை W-Series என்னும் வரிசையில் தயாரித்து இசையின் துல்லியத்தைத் தருகிறது.


இந்தியாவில் நோக்கியா என்றால் 2வயது குழந்தைக்குக் கூட தெரியும் அளவிற்க்கு சக மக்களிடம் ஊடுருவியிருக்கும் அலைபேசி தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனம், இசையடக்க அலைபேசியை எக்ஸ்பெரஸ் மியூசிக்{Xpress Music} என்ற வரிசையில் தன் வெளியிட்டை இடுகிறது.

இப்போது இவ்விரண்டின் பிரபலத் தன்மையையும், எதை மக்கள் விரும்புவார்கள் என்பதைப் பற்றியும் ஒரு அலசல்

இசைப் பிரியர்கள் தங்கள் இசையை துல்லியமாகவும், தரமாகவும் கேட்க சோனியையே நாடுவார்கள். ஆனால் சோனியில் மற்ற அம்சங்கள் தரமாக ஒத்துப்போவதில்லை. முக்கயமாக மின்கல சேமிப்புதிறன் மற்ற அலைபேசியை விட குறைவாகவே சோனியில் காணப்படுகிறது. மற்றும் W-Seriesல் வரும் அதிகவிலை அலைபேசிகளில் மற்ற அம்சங்களுக்கு முக்கியதுவம் தரப்படுவதில்லை. அவ்வாறாக விலை குறையக் குறைய அம்சங்களும் குறைகிறது. W200i முதல் W960i வரை ஒப்பிட்டால் நிறை குறைகள் தெரியவரும்.

நோக்கியாவிற்க்கு இசைப்பதிப்பு அலைபேசிகள் புதியது என்பதால் ஆரம்பகால பதிப்புகளில் சரிவர தரமாக விளியிட முடியவில்லை. இன்று சிறிது முன்னேற்றம் தெரிகிறது. ஆனால் அதிலும் சிறிய சிக்கல்.Music playerகள் பயனீட்டாளர் வசதியாக{User friendly} இல்லை என்பது உண்மை. Auto-update,Stream line playing போன்றவற்றை வைக்காதது குறைகளே. ஆனால் 5130முதல் 5800வரை ஒப்பிட்டு பார்க்கும் போது சோனியைவிட குறைகள் குறைவாகவே உள்ளன.

இன்று மக்கள் இவ்வனைத்து வசதிகளையும் குறைந்தவிலையில் எதிர்பார்கிறார்கள். இதை சோனி, நோக்கியாவால் பூர்த்தி செய்ய சிறிது காலம் எடுக்கும். இதே நேரத்தில் சற்று குறைவான விலையில் சற்று தரமான அலைபேசிகளை எல்.ஜி, சேம்சங் போன்ற நிறுவனங்கள் போட்டிப் போட்டுக்கொண்டு தயாரிக்கின்றன.


மேல் நாட்டு மோகம் வழியாக இந்தியா வந்த உலகின் மிக சொகுசு அலைபேசி என்றெல்லாம் வர்ணிக்கப்படும் ஐ போன்{i phone} இந்திய பதிப்புகளில் வந்துவிட்டது. ஆனால் அது சற்றும் இந்திய மக்களுக்கு ஒத்துவரா ஒரு அலைபேசி. சுமாரான தரம் உள்ள இசையை மட்டும் தந்து, இந்தியாவில் இன்னும் விரிவடையாத 3-G தொழில் நுட்பத்தையே சார்ந்துள்ள அலைபேசியை உயர்ந்தவிலை தந்து வாங்க வேண்டும் என்ற அவசியம் இந்தியனுக்கு இல்லை.

மேல்நாட்டு மோகம் என்னும் போது இன்னொன்று நினைவிற்கு வருகிறது. சீன அலைபேசிகள் குறைந்த விலையில் கிடைப்பதால் தரம் குறைவாக இருந்தாலும் மக்களிடம் நல்ல வரவேற்பு இருந்தது. ஆனால் சில தேசிய பாதுக்ப்பு காரணமாக டிசம்பர் 2009 முதல் அவைகளும் தடை செய்யப்படவுள்ளன.

எது எப்படி இருந்தாலும் சரி, இந்திய மண்ணில் ஒரு அலைபேசி நிறுவனம் நிலைநிற்க வேண்டும் என்றால், மக்கள் தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்தாக வேண்டும்.

Bangalore is not new for lot of nocturnals. Parties, music, roaming in the night, drag races etc...etc..

But we are new. And its a strange experience to be nocturnals. We never thought it. Now we are doing whatever things that comes in our mind.
This happened like that . One of ur asked,"What about a walk after dinner?". We would't find it hard to go out even when we are hostellers, since we are seniors now and formed a brand new gang "TFT"{Top Floor Terrors}.
It started with a quiet walk upto approximately 50feet. Then after as our nature started its humour sense. National highway adjacent to our path boosted things funny! Even it was not a pre- planned one, some one brought digi-cam, so we could take some snaps to upload to our social networking sites.
Some highlights of the event were
*Took snaps in midst of heavy traffic highways(note the signal was red)
*Ate banana , and
*Some times great things can happen while you roam at mid-night.
A small fear of COPS was there inside everyone till the end. Because we were taking snaps middle of the highways to prove our adventure to everyone.
The greatest things happened when we roamed was "WE GOT FREE TATA DOCOMO SIM CARD WITH 50 RUPEES TALK TIME!"

I think, at the end of this story, my college fellows can guess whom I am telling about.
That morning was very worst to him! Because the world's gonna end tomorrow.
Everyone were busy with their last activities of life. But he did'nt know what to do before
the world is destroyed. Finally he decided what to do. He went to ATM centre, withdrawed all the money from his account. Went to mobile recharge shop, recharged his mobile account with money what he took from his bank account.

Since it was Easyrecharge, a text message came to his mobile that confirmed the recharge. When he came out of the shop, he received one more message "SINCE THE WORLD IS ENDING TOMORROW, AIRTEL ANNOUNCES FREE CALLS TO ANY PHONE IN THE WORLD TO THEIR SUBSCRIBERS!"

நமது மூதாதையர்களின் பழக்கவழக்கங்கள் மரபு மூலமாக மட்டும் கடத்தப்படுவதில்லை.
என் தந்தை ஞாயிற்று கிழமை காலையில் உண்ணாமல் இருப்பதை பழக்கமாக வைத்திருக்கிறார்.
அது அவர் தந்தையிடமிருந்து கூட கற்றிறுக்கலாம். ஏன் என்றால் என் தாத்தாவும் அவ்வாறே கடைபிடித்திருந்து வந்தார்.

 அம்மாதிரி மரபு வழியாக கடத்தப்படாமல் எனக்கு வந்தப் பழக்கம் நாட்குறிப்பு எழுதுவது.எனக்கு நினைவு தெரிந்த நாள் முதல் என் தந்தை ஒவ்வொறு வருடமும் ஒரு நாட்குறிப்பேட்டைத் தருவார்.ஆனால் அப்பொழுது அது எனக்கு படம் வரையவும்,மனப்பாடம் செய்த செய்யுளை எழுதிப்பார்கவுமே பயன்பட்டது.

எனது தாத்தா இறந்தபோது அவரின் பொருட்களைப் பார்க்க எனக்க வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்து. அவரது உடைமைகள் அனைத்தும் பெரிய பெட்டிகளில் இருந்து. அதல் ஒரு பெட்டி முழுவதும் நாட்குறிப்பேடுகளால் நிறைந்திருந்து. அப்பொழுது அது ஒரு பெரும் வியப்பை எதுவும் ஏற்ப்படுத்தவில்லை. ஆனால் தேவை இருக்கும் போதே மனிதன் ஒன்றை நாடவேண்டியுள்ளது. சில முக்கிய நிகழ்வுகளேயும் அதன் துல்லிய விவரங்களையும் எனது குடும்பத்தார் அரிய அந்த நாட்குறிப்புகள் மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருந்தன. உதாரணமாக எனது அத்தை மகளின் பெயர் சூட்டுவிழா மற்றும் கிறிஸ்துவ முறைப்படி செய்யும் திருமுழுக்கு என்று நிகழ்ந்து என்று என் அத்தை மற்றும் மாமாவிற்கே தெரியவில்லை. அது இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அவளால் செவிலியர் பயிர்ச்சிப் படிப்பில் சேர முடியும் என்ற நிலைமை .

என் பாட்டி சொன்ன அறிவுரைப்படி கடைசியாக அனைவரும் என் தாத்தாவின் நாட்குறிப்புகளில் தேடி அதை கண்டும் பிடித்தனர். அவ்வாறாக தேடும் போதே அதின் அவசியம் உணர்ந்தேன்.நான் பிறந்த நாளை அவர் தன் நாட்குறிப்பில் எழுதியிருப்பதை மிகவும் வியந்தேன். அப்பொழுது என்னை நானே பாக்கியசாலியாக கருதினேன். அவர் இவைகளை செய்ததின் நோக்கம் என்ன என்று எனக்கு தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் ஒன்று மட்டும் என்னால் உறுதியாகக் கூறமுடியும். அவர் தன் கடமையை செய்வதில் கருத்தாக இருந்துள்ளார். காலச்சுவடுகள் பராமரிக்கப்பட்டுப் பதியப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எனது நாட்குறிப்பு எழுதும் பழக்கம் ஆரம்பித்து 2009ஆம் ஆண்டொடு ஐந்தாண்டுகளாகப்போகிறது. எழுதும் போது ஒரு கேளிக்கையாகவே மற்றவர்களுக்கு அது தெரிந்து. முக்கியமாக எனது நண்பர்கள். உனக்கு மறதி உண்டோ? என்றும் வினாவினார்கள். அது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் எனது பழக்கத்தில் எந்த மாற்றமும் ஏற்படவில்லை. இன்றுவரை, நான் எழுதிய நாட்குறிப்பே எனக்கு பலவிதத்தில் உதவியாக இருந்துள்ளது. இன்று ஒவ்வொறு நாளிலும் என் வாழ்வில் நடக்கும் செயல்கள் மற்றும் சம்பவங்கள் எனது நாட்குறிப்பில் பதியப்படுகிறது.

சில நேரங்களில் இப்பழக்கம் எனக்கு மரபுமூலம் வந்திருக்குமோ என்றும் ஒரு சந்தேகம். ஏன் என்றால் எனது அன்னை ஒரு வரலாற்று ஆசிரியை!

I was so exciting to travel in train for long duration. This was pre-planned two months before to visit new delhi during semester holidays. Traveller in the troop were IQBAL, PRABAKARAN, VIVEK &ME.Due to some reason Ravi could't join us. Every one met each other in chennai central where we were supposed to depart. We were very busy in buying our travel things. My dad&uncle were with me till the train comes to the platform. We found our compartment easily & berth too! Since we were very tired , slept soon as the train started.[TAMIL NADU EXPRESS]

26th june 2009 


 4:35am, when i woke it was ANDHRA , which appeared to be far different from what i thought, with mountain slopes. The place was Vijayawada. We got Nepolean&Maanicham (police personnel) good co-passengers as new friends. They two are very interesting, humorous people. So we did't find any difficulties passing time. The worst thing we hated throughout the travel was FOOD!
The train reached Nagpur at 4:30pm. Everyone went to get the nagpur special "gulfi ice". Me &vivek bought batteries for his digital camera. It started raining before when we reached Bhopal station. One more thing we came to know on that day was, "Travel duration was not 2days; just 30hours!

27th june 2009


Train arrived at New delhi @ 9:15am with a one &a half hour delay. Before reaching new delhi, we saw slums of delhi, which were in worst condition. As we planned earlier, Prabhakaran's friend Siva kumar, was to guide us throught our tour. And delhi was very strange to us! Soon after we arrived, we had an average breakfast in a tamil hotel. Found a lodge within one hour for 500 INR/day and refreshed. It was worser than we thought. The temperature was so high as our chennai and could't bear it.

I could see new trend in Rail. That's Delhi metro with well advanced features &hi -tech infrastructure. We were wondered&happy to travel in metro. Travelled to Chandini chowk to see our first sight seeing. That was 'RED FORT'. Started our photo- snapping there till battery dried. High light of the day was "jar full of banana milk shake for just 20 in a sardarji shop! "

28th june 2009

My day was made with a wonder of the world. Time to see Taj mahal, One of the wonders in world. Reached Agra at 12pm. We saw the Agra fort first and then a khadi kraft emporium, guided by a professional travel guide. Still the hated thing in our trip was the sunny climate. Everyone who have seen Taj mahal first can't forget it through their life including me. That was pretty awesome to see and i have realised the importance of love! Bought Agra special sweet "peda". We saw Madhura, Brindhavan while returning back to Delhi. Reached delhi at 2pm. Highlight of the day"BELIVE IT OR NOT we travelled in non-A/c seat in an A/c bus".

The day was with full of local sight seeings in Delhi.

We could't see lotus temple &Nehru's home because of weekly holidays to them.
And finally visited one of the big masjid called "Jimmah masjid".
Still i did't purchase anything for me &home. And i prepared my shopping list. One more thing i saw was high level security everywhere in the city. Thorough check in metro , mall's and public places was strange to me but it was good.

30th june 2009


Started &shopping. Delhi is good place for shopping low cost items. But we should beware of cheaters &should be ready to face problems. We had problems when purchasing in palika bazar. Karol bagh is a nice place to buy cloths&home decorative items, but with that same precautions mentioned above.

1st july 2009


That was the day we planned to take rest. But iqbal only did that. Me, vivek, prabhakaran & siva went to a brand new temple. I don't know the name exactly, but it is near by common wealth games 2010. That was huge in area and architecture. Finally we vacated our room at 7:30pm. Started our return journey in the same tamil nadu express. Unfortunately we got old couple as co-passengers. Highlight of the day was i lost my brief case key!

2nd july 2009


What i thought happened! The day was so long , since we found very hard to pass time. Playing cards, chess , seeing through window gave some relaxation. The wonder in the return journey was, what we saw while going was not the same while coming. Because of heavy rain the places were lush with green that we could't see when we were going to Delhi.
3rd july 2009
The time was 6:45am when i confirmed that the train has entered tamil nadu. We were ready &waiting to get down till 7:15am. But the train arrived in chennai central @8:10am. A MORAL WE REALISED IN THIS TRAVEL IS "DON'T MAKE YOUR TRAVEL IN THE SUMMER SEASON!"
And the funny thing is i found my brief case key inside the brief case which was in unlocked condition.
