Don't know when we became expert motorists. Though the plan was not proper, finally we made it to Thalakona - an evergreen forest with a well known water fall located near Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. We were a gang of 7 with 3 bikes.
This is the second trip to that place for most of us. The journey started from home around 7:15AM and we reached Chittoor with ease. Then we begun struggling. The difficulty was that we couldn't estimate the distance and the shortest route. Even asking for the route and distance to the local strangers was misadventurous in most cases in which we had to meet with the "cross road of life".
And finally after 154km of travel, we reached our destination. I had no hope of water in the falls. But I was really surprised and all my thoughts were drowned when I saw it.
It was still green in the month of March. It made me think "Is this the same Thalakona I came to last time in my 10th standard educational tour?" After a big effort to compromise myself, I returned to the present and we got our tickets and entered in. There were certain silly restrictions, which didn't matter us.
My digicam showed water pouring down the falls.
That moment, my mind got filled with thoughts about the shower in the falls. The safety has been upgraded in the falls after our first trip.
When I stepped into and held my head under the 270 feet high water fall, it seemed like all my hair got washed away from my head. Had great real fun. And it reminded me of lovely school days.
Photography occupied most time of our trip. When we neared our trip's end the 2GB card in the digicam yelled "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY". Taking snaps was our primary entertainment.
Then we packed up from there around 1:30pm, had lunch somewhere near Chittoor and reached home at 6:15pm.
